Jonathan Williams is an associate with the firm and practices in the firm’s Hillsborough, North Carolina office. Jonathan primarily practices in the area of litigation, both civil and criminal. He covers the entire state of North Carolina for many of the firm’s clients. He has appeared in court in over half of the one hundred counties in the state.  

Jonathan has quickly become a proficient advocate for his Rental Purchase Clients. Rental Purchase Law is constantly growing and an evolving practice area. He provides counsel and representation for these clients on regulatory compliance practices and litigation strategies to assist them in navigating the ever-changing industry and evolving theories of liability. Jonathan is also a skilled and accomplished criminal defense attorney with years of trial and courtroom experience. Jonathan has successfully represented clients facing charges of capital murder, drug trafficking, serious felonies, and white collar offenses. He is no stranger to the courtroom, and enjoys the challenges and pressures that comes with trying cases.

Jonathan graduated from Samford University in 2004 where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in International Relations and Spanish. While at Samford, he was a member of the Order of Omega Leadership Honor Society and studied abroad in Madrid, Alicante, and Salamanca, Spain through the Samford Foreign Language Program-Estudio Sampere. He received his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law. While at Cumberland, Jonathan served as Articles Editor and Associate Student Materials Editor for the American Journal of Trial Advocacy, the nation’s oldest law review dedicated to the advancement of trial advocacy. Additionally, Jonathan was a member of the Cumberland Board of Trial Advocacy and the Cumberland National Negotiation Team. 

He is admitted to practice in Alabama, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
