Cannabis Law: Reciprocity for Medical Marijuana Patients in Mississippi

The Mississippi Department of Health has not yet released regulations about medical marijuana reciprocity with other states for qualified patients. However, the department has given an outline that lays out how the regulations might look.

First, subchapter one will provide general provisions for reciprocity between states for qualified patients. Temporary patients will likely have to register with the MSDH. This registration is valid for 60 days, and this can be renewed for one 30-day period.

This registration can be revoked if the patient does not comply with regulations or if the medical marijuana supply cannot provide enough for Mississippi residents.

Finally, subchapters two and three regard the actual registration processes for guest patients and the guest caregivers.
